DAO modulus is a 3D printed structure designed to simulate life on Mars. DAO will be occupied by 8 people for long periods of time. Due to the lack of necessary building materials, 3D printers are the preferred technology for building extraterrestrial habitats.The module was designed from a more realistic than futuristic vision of a dwelling on Mars.

At this first moment, the biggest challenge is to survive off Earth as long as possible, in a self-sufficient way. For this, DAO takes into account: the food production and water cleaning through aquaponics; terrestrial nuclear power battery as the main source; the transformation of organic waste into complementary energy; the ease of construction and expansion through 3D printing and use of materials from the Martian surface. This perforated dome was made possible by the use of parametric tools.
